geeeezzz who actually reads this because i have gotten no reply on this crappy website........

so i asked for help for christmas and got nothing and i asked for rental help to find out where to go or who to contact and nothing and i am not sure who looks at this stuff but if sitting there humming and hawing seems to help you then well have at it... i am a single mother of two i just finally found a job after 2 months of searching but i have had NO help for my rent or my bills or my kids christmas so all i can say is that i hope someone else is getting all they need out there because so far i see that this website is a bunch of crap that just lets people post their issues and then what you just wait to see how bad things can get in their homes well i dont need that kind of help i need advice and actual help here i am in danger of losing my home now and i actually give a damn! i wont contact my senator or anyone of that nature because i know it wont do anything but i am asking my fellow people that are in my current situation or have been or someone that just gives a crap please i need help here i need to know who to get a hold of or where to turn because reading about others issues isn't helping just making me see that nobody is helping them either so what do we do?!!!!! its been over a month since i first posted and nothing give me a break.................

u are right about this website i just love it.U are able to say what is own your heart.I hope everybody reads or write own here dont think we are afull for writeing here the way we feel.I am thinkful we have a place we can come to talk about the way we feel and dont think we were dump for writing someing like that down and post it for everone to see and read what we said.It feel good tosay what we say or what we think. I just wish i could write down more of what was on my heart.I just say to everyone keep praying and reading God word and God will see all of us thourth good and bad times that he seem fit for us to face each day.God said in his word he would put on us no more than we can stand.God word word is thurth.WE all need to stand on that and we will go the right way we may not like it sometime but if we will go all the way hhouth the fire at the end we will see it was the best we done.when we listens to God all things works out for us all.

 in response to LonghornHero...   Yes, this is a fun way to communicate, but Sometimes money IS part of this experience.
It doesn't always happen, but I know for sure that it sometimes does. People who are able to help monetarily are very leery of who they can trust, as scammers have really taken advantage in the past; and because some people in need become quite desperate and post negative and/or demanding posts, which can be very off-putting to contributors. (I am not saying your post is negative or demanding :)
People helping people truly is our motto.
The people here who are willing to help one another in their own way, instead of only trying to receive, are more likely to be helped.
I hope this helps people understand a bit more about the Aidpage community.

Understand that we are just individuals volunteering here, who have regular lives....we range from wealthy (a few) to homeless. None of us gets paid to do this. Everyone helps out of their own free will, owing nobody anything, and asking nothing in return. We all make sacrifices for one another, whenever and however we are able. I personally have seen miracles happen through this site. Many here have been scammed and have left. We do not work for this website and we are not provided with any type of government grant monies to distribute. Whatever we give comes from sacrificing our own time and hard earned money. We do what we can. This is a wonderful community, offering support and information and occasionally gifts.
I do understand your frustration. I have been in your position in the past. You are actually much better off than many of us. I found this site when I was losing my home.
It is a hard time for everyone. I hope and pray things get better for you. Don't give up.

Did you search the site for posts related to the info you need? Schmidty has lots of great stuff on Christmas help. There is a wealth of info here, if you take the time to seek it out. We may not always be able to hand out cash, but we do try to help steer people in the right direction. There are few here with the financial means to send monetary gifts and especially at Christmas, there is a huge demand. Also, there are only a few contributors and lots of people who want to be recipients.

If I missed your original posting, I apologize, but regardless of how bad things are in your life, posting a negative response about the Aidpage website will not get you any closer to receiving help here.  I've been right where you are and understand how you feel.

This is a wonderful website and I have enjoyed being a part of it for over a year.  Please understand that most people here are struggling just like you, which is why it may seem so difficult to receive the help you need here.  Even though I don't have money, I am fortunate to have a job after being laid off 4 times before within a 2-year time span.  To show my appreciation for what I have, I share what I've learned with others in hopes that they can avoid the hardships I have encountered.

And to answer your question, yes….people DO receive REAL help here because I have personally assisted dozens of families on this website with food, clothing, toys, small amounts of money when I had it, and the list goes on.  I’ve also contributed countless hours of my time writing hardship letters, composing resumes for free, contacting companies on behalf of the needy, etc. 

If I may make a suggestion, consider revising and updating your posting regularly and perhaps include a picture of your family in your profile.  Editing your post and resaving it periodically keeps it current and will ensure that it is read by more people.  Although I cannot offer you any money to keep you from losing your home, I may be able to help in other ways.  Please visit my homepage and let me know if I can assist you going forward.

I am sorry to hear that no one has responded to your posts. I think this website is more for venting and support, but sounds like you have not even gotten that. I am sorry. There are SO, SO many people in our situtation. I think that is a problem in itself, there are more people that have went from middle class to lower class, than moving up in the world. I wish so many times over I was rich where I could just sit with my debit card and help people out. Hell with the interest the rich make off their money everyday, they could take that ONE day out of the week and do that.

If you are NOT getting help here then perhaps you should look at other sites. Try Modest Needs or Prosper.
Keep looking.
People here are everyday people like you.
Most are in need themselves.
This site needs people like you to help others here.
